HTC Butterfly 2 has been launched in the Asian markets of Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand by HTC today. Butterfly 2 was launched previously with the name HTC J Butterfly in Japan. HTC has not provided any availability details of his smartphone but have confirmed that it will be available in Taiwan from September 2 and then in other South Asian countries including India.

HTC Butterfly 2 is the successor smartphone of the HTC Butterfly smartphone that was launched for Rs. 49,990 in India last year. Butterfly 2 price expected to be nearly between Rs. 40-45000 in India.

HTC Butterfly 2 comes with 5-inch full-HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor.

HTC Butterfly 2 will be single SIM device that will run on latest Android 4.4 Kikat OS out of the box. It will have 2 GB of RAM and 16GB and 32GB of inbuilt storage variants with up to 128GB MicroSD expandable storage.

It will have Duo Camera with 13 MP sensor with dual LED flash and 5 MP front camera will also be available. There will be a 2700mAh battery available. Connectivity options will be 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Wi-Fi, DLNA, GPS, A-GPS, Micro-USB, GPRS, EDGE etc.

HTC Butterfly 2 will be available in three color options Red, White and Blue. There will be two front Boom Sound stereo speakers as seen on HTC One M8 and HTC One E8. HTC claims that the dual front speakers can deliver 25 percent louder output than the HTC One M8.
