JulieHTC launched the three new Desire series smartphones namely HTC Desire 820, HTC Desire 820q and HTC Desire 516C in India in ‘Double Exposure’ India event held on Friday. HTC Desire 820 has been priced at Rs. 24,990, HTC Desire 820q has been priced at Rs. 22,500 and HTC Desire 516C is launched for Rs. 12,990.
Out of these, HTC Desire 820 and HTC Desire 820q will be available from Novemebr 4 onwards while the HTC Desire 516C is available from Saturday already in India and is also listed exclusively on Snapdeal.
HTC Desire 820 comes with 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (1.5GHz quad-core + 1.0GHz quad-core) processor with 4G LTE Cat support. It comes with 5.5-inch HD display. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS and has 2GB of RAM with 16GB inbuilt storage and expandable storage via microSD card up to 128GB. Other features includes 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and BSI sensor and 8MP front shooter, 2600mAh battery, HTC’s Dot View case compatibility, Wi-Fi, FM radio, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, GPS, 3G and 4G LTE connectivity options.
HTC Desire 820q comes with similar specifications like HTC Desire 820 smartphone with only difference of 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM.
HTC Desire 516C, on the other hand, comes with 5-inch qHD LCD display and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with 1 GB RAM. It runs on outdated Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS with no info if its upgradable to upper versions of Android. Other features includes 4 GB of inbuilt storage and up to 32GB expandable storage, 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and 0.3 MP front camera, 1950mAh battery, GRPS, EDGE, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB connectivity options.
