LG G3 was launched in last spring. Rumors about the upcoming phone have begun to emerge ahead of the expected launch on April 28.
Somewhat surprisingly, perhaps, it may be LG’s new top model does not seem to have the fastest system chip on the market. Instead, it is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 which should be the chipset for the new phone. This is something as unusual as a six core system chipset, where four high-performance processor cores they pull heavy loads, while two weaker processors saves energy and keeps the phone in time otherwise.
Earlier in the winter there were rumors that Snapdragon 810 had heat problems and would not show up in Samsung’s new top model Galaxy S6. It did not appear in these phones and it also has on one occasion proved very warm in HTC’s flagship One M9.
Nevertheless, LG may use Snapdragon 810 in the new model G Flex 2. It is unclear why it may not be included in the G4 specifications, but normally we had expected that G4 had similar or better specs than the G Flex 2.
Same screen as G3
It may look like LG G4 will share screen specifications with the current G3. According to the data, the new phone gets a 5.5 inch large screen with 2560 x 1440 pixels.
The camera on front is set for a change compared with last year’s phone. Now the main camera will get 15 megapixels and the front camera will upgrade to 7 megapixels. Today LG G3 take pictures with respectively 13 and 2-megapixel resolution. There is an invitation to a press conference with LG on April 28.
The Company shall have concurrent events that day and has not said anything about what will be the releases. Currently, it appears that this will be launch day for G4.
