Motorola has now started seeding the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS update to the Moto X (2nd Gen) Pure Edition in the US today. David Schuster, Senior Director, SW Product Management Motorola informed about this update on his Google Plus account today.
Schuster wrote,”I am happy to announce that we have been approved to start full deployment of the Android 5.1 Lollipop upgrade for Moto X (2nd Gen) Pure Edition in the US.”
Recently, Motorola rolled out Android 5.1 Update to Moto X 2nd Gen and Moto X 1st Gen in three countries. this update is of 440MB in size and will be available OTA to the users around US. The pure edition Moto X 2nd Gen was the unbranded and unlocked version of Moto X, that was launched last year.
Motorola has also posted the release notes for this update here. This update is meant for Usability improvements in Notifications & Interruptions, bug fixes and other important changes in the UI that includes quick settings, heads-up notifications, Flashlight improvements, Improvements in the Android Runtime and Lockscreen improvements.
