Google has released the Android M Developer Preview 2 for all Nexus devices. Android M Developer Preview was launched at the end of May and Google also promised that time that Android M Developer Preview would receive a number of updates before its public availability.
And now Google has rolled out first update to M Developer Preview and new system images can be downloaded from Google website here and you can also install the M Developer Preview 2 from that page. This update comes this time with over the air updates enabled and Google also confirmed that the devices having original preview image installed will receive this update in next few days.
Owners of LG Nexus 5, HTC Nexus 9, Motorola Nexus 6 and Asus Nexus Player can install this update. Jamal Eason, Product Manager, Android wrote on official Android Developers blog,”Earlier this summer at Google I/O, we launched the M Developer Preview. The developer preview is an early access opportunity to test and optimize your apps for the next release of Android. Today we are releasing an update to the M Developer Preview that includes fixes and updates based on your feedback.”
This new update includes up to date M release platform code and near-final APIs to validate apps. Google Play services 7.6 is also available in this update. Android M is expected to launch at the end of this year.
