During the recent times, Microsoft has been rapidly changing the strategy and has been writing off the Nokia acquisition. It has also taken a lot of conservative steps for the smartphones of the next generation.
But according to the latest news it seems that the company is not going to cancel any of those phones which were under development before the strategy change took place.
It is expected that Microsoft will release one of two phones under three categories: the Flagship, business and value. As per rumours this will not happen until next year.
In the mean time, Microsoft is prepping, the most rumoured Lumia 940 and 940 XL Flagships with certain specs such as quad HD AMOLED screens, Snapdragon 810 processor, 20 MP camera.
But at the same time three affordable sets are also being developed by the company.
Specs of the mid range devices : Lumia 550, Lumia 750 and Lumia 850 which are under development have been released by certain leak documents.
According to these documents, these three devices will have following specs:
LUMIA 550:
Display: according to the news available, it will have 5 inch qHD display.
Processor: it will be powered with Snapdragon 210 chip, quad core 1GHz Cortex A7 CPU, ADRENO 304 GPU.
RAM: this device will have 1 GB RAM.
Camera: 5 MP rear camera and will have 2 MP front shooter.
Battery : it will be packed with 1095 mAh battery.
This device will have an extra slot for expandable memory upto 8 GB.
LUMIA 750:
Display: it will have 5 inch display, 720 p resolution.
Processor: it will be powered with Snapdragon 410,quad core 1.2 GHz Cortex A-53,Adreno 306. This smartphone will carry 1 GB RAM.
Camera: this device will have 8 MP rear camera having ZEISS optics and a 5 MP front camera.
Battery: this will be packed with a 2650 mAh battery.
This smartphone will also have expandable memory card slot upto 8 GB.
LUMIA 850:
This will have 5”,768 p display, powered by Snapdragon 410 chip and CPU clocked at 1.4 GHz. This will have 1 GB RAM.
Camera: 10 MP rear camera with ZEISS optics and a 5 MP front camera.
It will be packed with 2650 mAh battery and will have a microSD card slot expandable upto 16 GB.
When is Microsoft going to announce these devices, is still a question. It is suspected that there might be some sort of announcement at IFA which will take place during early September. This might also include the next flagship of the company.
