AmanA recent leak indicates that Microsoft will launch Lumia 940 and 940XL devices in an event on October 19 in New York. Not only Lumia 940 and Lumia 940XL will be unveiled in this event, the leak confirms that the new Surface Pro 4 Tablet and a new Microsoft Band will also be launched.
Both the Lumia flagships will be launched with the Windows 10 Mobile OS out of the box. Pricing will be nearly $600 for Lumia 940 and $650 for Lumia 940XL. According to the precious leaks, both the new flagships will be called as Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL but were recently confirmed as Lumia 940 and 940XL.
Both the devices may launch with Dual SIM capabilities. Lumia 940 is rumored to have a 5.7 inch display and will be powered by a Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 procesor alongside Adreno 430 GPU. 3GB of RAM, 32 GB inbuilt storage, expandable storage slot, 20 MP PureView rear camera with 5 MP front camera, Iris Scanner and a 3000+ mAh battery are the other expected features of Lumia 940.
Lumia 940 XL, on other hand, is expected to have a 5.2 inch display and will be powered by a Hexa-Core Snapdragon 808 with Adreno 430 GPU. Other features includes 3 GB RAM, 20 MP Pureview rear and 5 MP front cameras, 32 GB storage, expandable storage slot, Iris Scanner etc. GFXbench already revealed the specifications of Lumia 940 XL here.
