The Chinese Apple, Xiaomi, is all set to enter the US market with Redmi 2 Pro that was approved by US FCC last month. But, it seems that Xiaomi is going to launch two smartphones in the US as the flagship device Xiaomi MI4 is now certified by the FCC in the US. So, in total, there will be two devices MI4 and Redmi 2 Pro that will be launched in the US whenever Xiaomi enters the US market.
The FCC documents for the Xiaomi MI4 doesn’t includes any images of the MI4 and no specifications of the phone are listed in the documents as well. That means the device will retain its original specs that includes a Android 4.4.4 Kitkat based MIUI 6 OS, a 5-inch full-HD JDI OGS full lamination display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution, a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB/64GB storage options, a 13-megapixel rear Sony’s stacked CMOS sensor camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and lastly, a 3080 mAh Li-ion battery. Xiaomi MI4 supports single SIM and comes with Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and FM connectivity options. Mi4 measures 139.20×68.50×8.90 and weighs only 156.00 grams.
The Redmi 2 Pro has features like a 4.7-inch HD display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC (four Cortex A53 cores clocked up to 1.2GHz), Adreno 306 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of inbuilt storage and a 2200mAh battery.
In January this year, Xiaomi officially annouced that they will enter the US market with accessories and they started selling the accessories via their Mi.com store online in May. Xiaomi is holding an event on 24th November as well where we can see an announcement from Xiaomi about Redmi 2 Pro and MI 4 launch in the US. its worth noticing that Xiaomi is rumored to launch two new devices namely Redmi Note 2 Pro and MI Pad 2 tablet in this event.
