Asus has a long lineup of smartphones including Zenfone series and Pegasus series that comes with high-end smartphones. The Asus Pegasus series consists of smartphones like Pegasus X002, Pegasus X003 and Pegasus 2 Plus X550. A new ASUS smartphone has just been spotted on Chinese certification regulatory website TENAA with full specifications and images of the handset. Assuming the specifications of the handset, we can expect that the device named Asus_X005 on TENAA database will be called as Asus Pegasus X005 and will be a successor to the Pegasus X002 launched last year.
The TENAA listing for Asus Pegasus X005 with name Asus_X005 (first spotted by Times News UK) confirms that the Pegasus X005 will support the same 5.5-inch FHD 1080p display that has 1920 × 1080 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core processor could be the MediaTek MT6753 paired with 2GB of RAM. There will be 16GB inbuilt storage available with up to 32GB expandable storage via micro SD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box and will come with Zen UI on top.
As per rumors, this device will support Dual SIM and will feature an 8-megapixel or 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. This device measures 155 × 76.4 × 9 mm and weights 176.7gms. Multiple color options are available for this device that includes Blue, white and gold. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G TD-LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS etc. We are approaching for the CES 2016 and we may expect an announcement from the company about the Asus Pegasus X005 along with some other ASUS products and devices.
In the Pegasus series, the Asus Pegasus 2 Plus smartphone is currently the latest one that was launched in July last year. It comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD display and is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor paired 3GB of RAM. It comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. on software front, it runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop-based Zen UI skin on top. It support a 3030mAh battery and was available in Rose Gold and White colour options.
