A new J series smartphone have been launched by Samsung called the Samsung Galaxy J2 in in Bangalore, India. This device is priced at just INR 8,490 ($128) in budgeted range. It will be available starting September 21 in India first.
Galaxy J2 is an upgraded variant of Galaxy J1 smartphone. It comes with a 4.7-inch qHD Super AMOLED display and is powered by an Exynos 3475 chipset quad-core 1.3 GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. It has a 2,000 mAh battery and runs on latest Android 5.1 OS out of the box.
Dual-SIM Galaxy J2 features a 5MP f/2.2 rear camera and a 2MP f/2.4 front camera. It comes with connectivity options such as 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro-USB etc.

Ultra Data Saving Mode, which is the key feature in the device, has been developed at our Indian R&D facilities to deliver the most cost efficient 4G device.”
Galaxy J2 comes with Ultra Data Saving mode powered by Opera Max. This feature helps the users block individual apps from accessing mobile data and save the data by enabling data optimization. The Ultra Data Saving mode can give up to 50 percent data savings and can free up to 11 percent RAM.
Samsung Galaxy J2 will be available in Black, White, and Gold colours variants.
