Meizu has launched its new flasgship device Meizu Pro 5 in an event today in Beijing. It will be available in China from October 12 onwards. The high end Meizu Pro 5 is priced at 2,799 Yuan ($438) for 3GB RAM and 32GB variant and the 4GB RAM and 64GB variant is priced at 3,099 Yuan ($485).
Meizu Pro 5 features a 5.7 inch full HD Super AMOLED display with 2.5D glass and Gorilla glass protection. It is powered by a octa-core Samsung Exynos 7420 processor with Mali T760 GPU. It runs on Flyme OS 5.0 based on Android Lollipop and is available in 2 variants with different RAM and storage. These includes a 3GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant and 4GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant.
Meizu Pro 5 features a 21.6 megapixels rear dual tone LED flash camera with Sony IMX230 Exmor RS BSI sensor, laser autofocus, 6P senses and 4K video recording features. There is a 5 megapixel front camera also available. It has a large 3050 mAh battery with mCharge quick charging feature that can charge the device from 0 to 65% in just 30 minutes.
Pro 5 also comes with fingerprint sensor like other major flagships. It offers 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi. Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB 3.0 Type-C connectivity options.
