AmanOnePlus has officially confirmed that their new flagship OnePlus 2 will be available in a flash sale on Amazon India on 12 October. It will be available in a first ever open sale, thus, no invite is required to buy the phone. The sale will be available for an entire hour from 12:00 to 1 PM on Amazon India.
“While we’ve alleviated the invite demand to a reasonable extent on account of faster roll-outs, we feel that we owe it to you all to make it a bit more convenient this time around. On October 12, OnePlus and Amazon India will be opening up the sale of the OnePlus 2 for an entire hour from 12:00 to 1 PM sans “invites”. You read that right – NO INVITES needed. Just go on ahead and buy one!” OnePlus wrote in the official blog post.
The listing on Amazon India is showing the price as Rs. 24,999 for the OnePlus 2 with invite only in Sandstone Black color and 64GB storage. It was launched in August this year and is available for sale starting last month in Malaysia for $385.
OnePlus 2 comes with 5.5 inch IPS LCD full HD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by a 64 bit 1.8GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor featuring 4G LTE and Adreno 430 GPU. It also has 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and comes win 64 GB storage variant.
It runs on OxygenOS based on Android Lollipop 5.1.1. It features a 13MP primary camera with f/2.0 Aperture, 1.3 µm Pixels, 6-lenses, Dual LED Flash, advanced Laser Autofocus with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and 5MP front facing camera.
OnePlus 2 has a large 3,300 mAh Li-Po battery and comes with features such as Dual Nano SIM support, Fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port and 3-way physical alert. Connectivity options includes Bluetooth, GPS, Music Player, Video Player, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, E-mail etc.
