Xiaomi Announces October 19 Event, MI 5 Expected to be Launched

MI 5 smartphone from Xiaomi got number of rumors and headlines in the past. And now, looks like we will finally see the launch of the new Flagship MI 5 by the Chienese manufacturer. Xiaomi has announced that it will hold an event on 19 October and has started sending the event invites for the event.

The teaser image from the company doesn’t provide much information about what product they will launch in this event, but, rumors are already on that Xiaomi will launch its new flagship device MI 5 in this event. Another possibility is the launch of the Mi Pad 2 smartphone as the it was recently found on China’s 3C verification site.

The third possibility is the launch of low-end device Mi 2014816 in this event which was recently found listed on the TENAA website. THis new MI phone comes with entry level specifications like 4.7 inch display, quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, Android 4.4.4 OS, 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera, 8GB of inbuilt storage and other specifications.

Xiaomi Mi 5 specifications includes a 5.2 inch Quad HD display, 4 GB RAM, 16 MP rear camera with Dual LED flash, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 GPU, 16GB or 64GB inbuilt storage, 3030mAh battery and around CNY 1,999 price.

So, we are not too far away from the event date and we have to wait and see what surprises does Xiaomi have for its fans in this event.
