BlackBerry Priv Pre-Orders Officially Started in US, UK and Canada

Blackberry has now started taking the pre-orders of their first Android powered smartphone BlackBerry Priv officially. Priv was found listed on e-commerce website in UK called the Carphonewarehouse with price and specifications where it was available starting £49/month with a 2-year contract. And now, the interested buyers can buy the Priv from Official Blackberry store in the US, UK and Canada.

Blackberry also wrote about this on their official blog. In the US, it is priced at $699, in UK its price is £559 and in the Canada, its available for $899. You can also buy from Rogers in Canada here. In India, the device is not announced yet, but the device was found listed on Indian import/export website Zauba with price Rs. 50,635, so we can expect the price range near the Zauba listed price when it will be launched in India.

BlackBerry PRIV specifications includes a 5.4-inch dual-curved WQHD Plastic AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by a Qualcomm 8992 Snapdragon 808 Hexa-Core 64 bit Soc with 64 bit Dual-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A57 and Quad-core 1.44 GHz CortexA53 and Adreno 418 600MHz GPU.

It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS out of the box and comes with 3GB Low Power RAM with 32GB inbuilt storage and up to 2TB MicroSD card slot. It weights just 192g along with the 4-row Sliding Keyboard. It features an 18MP auto-focus OIS rear camera with features like HDR, 6-element f2.2 lens, Back Side Illumination (BSI2) Stacked Sensor, Dual Colour, Dual 2 mm² LED Flash, 4k Video Recording, 4x digital zoom, Panorama, Burst, Live Filters and Multi-Frame Low Light Enhancement etc.

It also features a 2MP Fixed-Focus front facing camera with features like Image & video stabilization, 720p HD video recording, 2x digital zoom, Wide Selfie Mode, Multi-Frame Low Light Enhancement etc. It comes with a 3410 mAh 4.4V 680 Wh/L integrated non-removable battery with Fast charge enabled. It can give Up to 22.5 hours of mixed usage.

Connectivity options available are FD 4G LTE, Quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB 2.0 etc. Phone pre-orders are up and the shipping of the phone shipping will start November 6, 2015.
