In an event today, Verizon and Motorola have launched the new Droid phones Droid Turbo 2 And Droid Maxx 2. The Droid Turbo 2 is the successor of the last year’s Droid Turbo and Droid Maxx 2 is the rebranded version of Moto X Play. Both the new Droids will be available starting October 29.
Droid Turbo 2 will cost $624 retail price, or 24 monthly payments of $26, $30 per month for 24 months ($720 retail price) with design refresh. DRIOD Maxx 2 will be available for $16 per month for 24 months or you can pay the one time $384 retail price.
Droid Turbo 2
Droid Turbo 2 comes with shatterproof display with guarantee of up to four years. It features a 5.4-inch AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 processor (Octa-core, 2000 MHz, ARM Cortex-A57 and ARM Cortex-A53, 64-bit with Adreno 430 GPU) and 3GB of RAM.
It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop which is upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It has 32 or 64GB storage variants with expandable storage slot up to 2000 GB. DRIOD Maxx 2 comes with a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with 1.7 GHz octa-core CPUs and 2GB of RAM. It has 16GB of inbuilt storage with up to 128 GB microSD card expandable storage slot. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and will be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
It features a 21-megapixel dual LED CCT flash rear camera with rapid focus and a front facing 5-megapixel camera. It has a 3,630 mAh battery that can give up to 48 hours battery life and also supports a TurboPower charging feature which gives you 8 hours of use with a 15 minute charge.
