JohnWhen Huawei’s teaser about the Kirin 950 processor was leaked few days back, it has been said that Huawei will also launch the flagship Huawei Mate 8 in the event on November 5, but that reports went wrong as Huawei has posted a new teaser on their official Weibo account with large “8” and title “Mate again return” hinting towards the launch of Huawei Mate 8 flagship device.
So, Huawei will launch the rumored Kirin 950 Octa-core processor on November 5th, which is just few days away, and Huawei Mate 8 will be launched on November 26th which will be powered by the powerful Kirin 950 processor that comes with TSMC’s 16nm process, 2.4GHz octa-core including 4 cores of Cortex-A72 at 2.4GHz and 4 cores of Cortex-A57 with ARM Mali T880 GPU and LPDDR4 RAM support.
Kirin 950 processor can support cameras up to 42-megapixel and it also comes with a self-developed ISP and i7 coprocessor with support for LTE Cat.10 networks. Kirin 950 tops the Geekbench 3 benchmark score with 6000 points which is more than the Exynos 7420 processor who was called as the powerful processor ever.
Huawei Mate 8 specifications can include 2.4GHz octa-core Kirin 950 SoC along with other specs like a 6-inch 2k display, 4GB of RAM, 21-megapixel rear camera and a front camera of 8-megapixel or 5-megapixel, a large 4000 mAh battery or bigger.
Last month, Huawei launched the new Huawei Glory Play 5X smartphone in the Huawei Glory series that comes with 5.5-inches display, two RAM variants: one with 2 GB of RAM and the other with 3GB of RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage, 128GB MicroSD card expandable storage, Octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 SoC that includes Quad-core 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex A53 + quad-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A53 with Adreno 405 GPU, EMUI 3.1 OS based on Android 5.1, a 13-megapixel rear CMOS sensor with LED flash, 5-megapixel front camera and a large 3000mAh non-removable battery.
