Xiaomi teasers in the past have confused its readers many times. In the past, they issued a teaser for new product launch and people started predicting that the Chinese OEM will launch the long rumored flagship device MI 5, but they launched a MI TV instead. A few days back, Xiaomi again issued a new teaser with title “MI Dual 11” hinting towards two new phone devices launch, but again nothing happened.
Today, A Xiaomi moderator have posted a thread on the MIUI forum and confirmed that Xiaomi will launch a new device on November 24. The moderator confirmed that “A new phone is coming on 24th November”. So, We can now hope that Xiaomi will finally launch the MI 5 in this event. Xiaomi can also launch the Redmi Note 2 Pro that got the TENAA approval few days back.
This Xiaomi event will take place on 24th November in China National Convention Center and the Mi Fans in China can purchase the entrance ticket for the event at the price ¥199 (31 USD) from tomorrow onwards. There will be only 500 tickets to be sold for the event, so act quickly if you want to be a part of the event.
Xiaomi MI 5 is expected to have a 5.2-inch QHD screen and it will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 SoC with 4GB of RAM. It will have 16GB/32GB storage variants and will feature a 16 megapixel LED flash rear camera and a 8 megapixel front camera. It will run on MIUI 7 and will also have a fingerprint scanner. The phone will have a USB-C charging port and will have a large 3030mAh battery.
The Redmi Note 2 Pro, on the other hand, is rumored to come with a 5.5-inch display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution and will be powered by a MediaTek MT6795 SoC that comes with an octa-core 2.2GHz CPU and PowerVR G6200 GPU with 2GB of RAM. Other features includes 32GB of inbuilt storage with expandable storage slot, a 13-megapixel rear camera with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3060mAh battery, Android 5.1 OS, Fingerprint scanner and full metal body.
