HTC, today launched yet another “One series” smartphone that will be the variant of the HTC One M9 called the HTC One M9s. It comes with similar looks like the original One M9 with some hardware changes. It is currently listed on official HTC Taiwan website and is available for pre-orders too in the home country Taiwan for TWD 12,900 ($390) and the shipping will start on November 21 in Taiwan. The company, however, hasn’t posted any details about its global availability.
We already know that a variant of the One M9 already exist called the One M9+ that comes with slightly upgraded hardware. HTC One M9s comes with a 5.0-inch Full HD 1080p display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core 2.1 GHz MediaTek’s MT6795 Helio X10 processor instead of the Snapdragon 810 Soc and 3GB of RAM comes in the One M9. The One M9s also has the PowerVR G6200 GPU.
HTC One M9s comes with 2 GB of RAM. It runs on Android 5.1 OS out of the box with HTC Sense 7 UI on top. It comes with 16GB of in built storage capacity with microSD expandable storage card slot. If we talk about the camera, the plus point is that the HTC One M9s comes with a 13-megapixel with optical image stabilization, in HTC One M9, there is a 20-megapixel camera with no optical image stabilization. A front 4-megapixel camera is also on board with a f/2.0 26.8mm-equivalent lens.
One M9s features a 2,840 mAh battery and has connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth and GPS with front facing BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio. The phone is available on the HTC Taiwan website here.
