Xiaomi is going to hold an event on 24th November and is going to launch two new devices which includes the Redmi Note 2 Pro and the next generation MI Pad called the MI Pad 2. Xiaomi’s president and Xiaomi is teasing both the devices via their Weibo account and MIUI forum. But, looks like, there will be no MI 5 launch announcement in this event. Its almost a year when Xiaomi launched the current flagship MI 4 and looks like MI 5 launch is delayed until next year.
Xiaomi’s president Bin Lin has posted two new teasers today on his Weibo account which hints towads the launch of Redmi note 2 Pro and Mi Pad 2. Redmi Note 2 Pro is already TENAA and 3C certified in China and MI Pad 2 was seen benchmarked on a benchmarking website revealing its full specifications along with MI 5 which was listed with the code name Xiaomi Gemini.
The Xiaomi Note 2 Pro phablet is rumored to launch with a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6795 SoC that comes with an octa-core 2.2GHz CPU and PowerVR G6200 GPU with 2GB of RAM. Other specs includes 32GB of inbuilt storage, expandable storage slot, a 13-megapixel rear camera with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 3060mAh battery and Android 5.1 OS. The teaser image for the Redmi Note 2 Pro shows a gold color device with rear camera and LED flash and fingerprint scanner below the flash.
Xiaomi MI PAD 2 is rumored to have a 7.9-inch 2048×1536 pixels 2k display, a 2.24 GHz Intel Atom x5-Z8500 quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box, a 13MP rear camera, MIUI 7, 16GB of built-in storage and other features. The teaser image of the MI Pad 2 shows a white tablet with top left rear camera and side buttons for volume and power button.
