Indian Micromax’s subsidiary YU has previously launched the devices like YU Yunique, Yureka Plus and Yuphoria. Now the company is all set to launch a flagship top-end device with price above $500. YU is all set to launch the new flagship device YU Yutopia on 7th December. YU has posted a number of teasers on their website and social media accounts about the YU Yutopia. The company is calling it as “the beast” that will have 4GB of RAM and the powerful Snapdragon 810 processor. one of the teaser posted on the official website suggests that its price will be $650 or more.
YU has also launched a dedicated page for YU Yutopia here. YU Yutopia will be made of full metal and there will be two variants of the phone with 16GB inbuilt storage and 32 GB inbuilt storage options as per the teasers. The rumored specifications of the YU Yutopia includes a 5.2-inches 2k display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. It will be powered by the powerful Snapdragon 810 SoC with Adreno 430 GPU and will have 3GB or 4GB of RAM.
It will run on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 with Cyanogen OS 12.1 and will feature a a 21-megapixel rear LED flash camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It will support 4G LTE networks and will have other connectivity options like 3G, 2G, USB, GPS, Bluetooth etc. It will have a large battery with quick-charge feature. Last month, we saw a YU phone with name YU YU5050 listed on Geekbench bench-marking database revealing its high end specs that matches with the YU Yutopia specs we discussed above. YU5050 was listed with a 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 (MSM8994) processor and 4GB of RAM. It will have a 5.2-inch full-HD display with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop-based CyanogenOS. The Yu5050 scored 1353 points in single-core test and 4622 points in the multi-core test.
