Samsung has recently launched the flagship device in the Galaxy A series called the Samsung Galaxy A9 that was in the number of rumors before its launch. Samsung launched the Galaxy A9 officially just after the phone got TENAA certification approval in China, it also got the US FCC approval a week prior to the TENAA approval.
According to the latest rumors, the Galaxy A9 is expected to be priced around $493 or CNY 3,199 in Chinese currency. The Galaxy A9 comes in a metal frame and glass body design and because of that, Samsung may announce the price around $500 for the phablet. Nothing has been officially confirmed yet by the company but we can expect an official price tag announcement for the phone before the CES 2016 event.
To recall, Galaxy A9 comes with a large 6-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution and 2.5D curved glass. It gets powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC that also comes with Adreno 510 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage and up to 128GB expandable storage via micro SD card. It runs on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS out of the box but we can expect the Marshmallow upgrade to be rolled out in the coming days.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 comes with a 13-megapixel rear autofocus LED flash camera with features like f/1.9 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). The phone comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The Samsung Galaxy A9 comes with a large 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 tech support. It also supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v 4.1, ANT+ and NFC connectivity options. It supports Dual-SIM and comes with a fingerprint sensor available at home button.
Samsung has already launched the second generation of the Galaxy A series smartphones including the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A8 that now supports the fingerprint scanner on home button. Now the Galaxy A9 has joined the party making the Galaxy A series from Samsung more premium. We now have to wait for the customers response towards these new Galaxy A series smartphones. Samsung is yet to announce the Galaxy A9 globally which may be announced by the company at CES 2016. Stay tuned.
