Microsoft has started rolling the new Windows 10.0.10586.29 update to the latest flagship devices Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL in the UK and Ireland. Microsoft announced this news on their official website. The update is rolling out to Lumia 950 and Lumia XL only and there is no update available currently for the Lumia 550 smartphone that was launched along with the flagship devices in October. The new update comes with build number 01078.00027.15506.020xx and comes with number of bug fixes and improvements.
This new update comes with the following fixes and improvements according to Microsoft:
- Improvements for Bluetooth connectivity.
- Auto-completion in Microsoft Edge browser has been updated to allow users to more easily edit the end of the URL in the address bar. Also the stability and performance of the browser has been improved.
- Stability and performance improvements.
- Improvements for SD memory card support.
- Improvements for automatic display brightness settings.
- Fix for a camera problem that was causing noisy images in low-light conditions for some users.
- Fix for a 4K video problem that was causing stripes to show up while playing back recorded videos for some users.
Lumia 950 and 950 XL were launched in October with Windows 10 OS out of the box. The Lumia 950 comes with a 5.2-inch WQHD OLED Display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. It is powered by a Hexa-Core Snapdragon 808 processor with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32 GB internal storage and it features a 20-megapixel PureView rear camera with triple LED RGD natural Flash and with 5th gen optical stabilization. It comes with a 5 MP front camera. Lumia 950 comes with USB Type-C port and Wireless charging support and it also comes with MicroSD card slot and is backed up by a 3000 mAh battery with Fast Charging support.
The Lumia 950 XL comes with a comparatively larger display of 5.7-inch with Quad HD resolution and is powered by the Snapdragon 810 processor(four Cortex-A57 cores at 2GHz, four A53s at 1.5GHz, Adreno 430). It has a 3,300mAh battery and other specs are similar to the Lumia 950.
