Asus has announced in the CES 2016 that the ASUS ZenFone Zoom will be available in the US starting this February priced at $399 for the 64GB internal storage variant. This device was announced a year ago at the CES 2015 with selfie focused 13-megapixel camera having 3X optical zoom, Laser auto focus, optical image stabilization (OIS) and dual-LED Real Tone flash. The ASUS ZenFone Zoom’s variant ASUS_Z00XSB was also certified recently on TENAA with 4GB RAM. It was launched in Taiwan last month in an official event.
ASUS ZenFone Zoom comes with a 5.5-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor / 2.5GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3590 processor with PowerVR G6430 GPU and 4GB LPDDR3 RAM. It has 64GB /128GB internal storage options with expandable storage up to 128GB via micro SD card. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.
This device features a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS, 3X optical zoom, f/2.7-4.8 aperture, Laser AF and real tone flash. It also has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It is backed up by a 3000mAh battery with ASUS BoostMaster fast charging support. Connectivity options includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and NFC etc. It measures 158.9 x 78.84 x 5~11.95 mm with weight 185g.
It is available in Black and White colors options and it also has a 128GB variant whose availability and pricing details are not shared by the company yet. Stay tuned for more updates.
