In the CES 2016 event in Las Vegas, ZTE announced two new smartphones ZTE Grand X3 and ZTE Avid Plus with budgeted specifications. The ZTE Grand X3 is priced at $129.99 and will be available on Cricket Wireless in the U.S. Whereas, the ZTE Avid Plus is priced at $114.99 and will be available via T-Mobile starting January 20 and via MetroPCS afterwards. If we talk about the specifications of both phones, both comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS pre-installed. The ZTE Grand X3 comes with USB Type-C port. The ZTE Grand X3 comes with a 5.5-inch HD capacitive touch screen display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal storage and up to 64GB expandable storage with microSD card slot. It features an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. A good 3000 mAh battery with fast-charging feature is available with connectivity options such as 4G LTE with VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB Type-C. It also has 3.5mm audio jack and Dolby Digital audio. It measures 154.2 x 75.9 x 9.4 mm and weights 170 g.
The ZTE Avid Plus comes with the entry level specs like a 5-inch FWVGA display with 854 x 480 pixels resolution and is powered by a less powerful 1.1GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor with Adreno 304 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage capacity with up to 64GB expandable storage with microSD card slot. It features a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. It has a 2300mAh battery and comes with 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS etc connectivity options.
