Xiaomi Redmi 3 Now official For 699 Yuan in China with Snapdragon 616

We already know that Xiaomi is going to launch the Redmi 3 smartphone on January 12, that is on Tomorrow. The Chienese manufacturer is already teasing the device on its weibo account posting some of the details of the device in the teaser images. Till now, Xiaomi’s teasers has revealed that the Redmi 3 will be backed up up by a massive 4100 mAh Battery and some leaks has said that Redmi 3 will be powered by a Snapdragon 616 processor. But we don’t have pricing details of the device till now.

Xiaomi has now officially launched the Xiaomi Redmi 3 that will cost same as Xiaomi Redmi 2 that was launched in January last year priced in China at 699 Yuan. Yes, the Xiaomi Redmi 3 will also be priced at the same 699 Yuan (around $107). Xiaomi confirmed this news on their Weibo account revealing the pricing and specs details of the smartphone. The device will go on sale starting tomorrow in China.

Xiaomi has also officially confirmed that the Redmi 3 will have a metal unibody chassis with a 5-inch 720p display. It will have 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of inbuilt storage capacity. The device will be powered by the 1.7GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor and Adreno 405 GPU. It will feature a 13-megapixel rear camera with 5-megapixel front facing camera. It will have a 4100 mAh battery and will run on Android 5 lollipop OS based MIUI out of the box. The Redmi 3 measures 139.3×69.6×8.5mm and is slimmer than the Redmi 2 which measures 134×67.2×9.4mm.

Xiaomi Redmi 3 has already got the TENAA approval last month. It was listed on TENAA with a 5-inch TFT display with 720×1280 pixels resolution and was powered by an octa-core 1.5GHz processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It features a a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and measures 139.3×69.6×8.5mm and weighs 143 grams.

To recall the Xiaomi Redmi 2 was launch with a 4.7-inch IPS display with 720×1280 pixels resolution and was powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor (Cortex A53) paired with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. It features an 8-megapixel rear camera along with a 2-megapxiel front-facing camera with 8GB of inbuilt storage with up to 32GB expandable storage. It has a 2200mAh battery with weight 133 grams.
