HTC is long rumored to be working on a 7-inch tablet in the desire series of HTC smartphones. The device previously appeared on the Indian import/export website zauba with name HTC Desire T7, pricing details and the display size of the tablet. Zauba listing indicated that this tablet will have a 7-inch screen and will be priced around INR 11,476 (around $170). Now, the device has been spotted listed on the GFXBench listing confirming its most of the specifications. The HTC tablet device is listed with the name HTC IV5001-A but will be launched as the HTC Desire T7 name.
The GFXBench listing confirms that the HTC Desire T7 comes with 6.9-inch display having 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core Spreadtrum SC8830 (Cortex A7 – ARMv7) processor paired with dual core ARM Mali-400 MP2 GPU and 1GB of RAM. This tablet runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out of the box. This budgeted low-end tablet comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage as per the listing.
If we talk about the camera details of this tablet, it features a 5-megapixel camera on rear side and same size camera on the front as well. Both cameras are capable of recording full-hd videos as per the listing. The rear camera also comes with features such as face detection, autofocus and a LED flash. The connectivity features includes Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and WiFi. None of the above specifications are confirmed yet by the company which we may see in the future event of HTC.
MWC 2016 is getting closer and closer and we may see an announcement from the Taiwan giant in this event may be for this new tablet in the budgeted range of tablets.
