Samsung is currently working on refreshed 2016 variants of the Galaxy J series and has already launched the 2016 variants of the Galaxy A series smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy J7 smartphone is currently expected to launch soon as the device has made its appearance in bench marking sites previously. The device was found listed in the GFXBench database with Snapdragon 615 and 3GB of RAM. Now a new Galaxy J7 variant with Exynos processor and 2GB RAM has been listed on GFXBench.
The GFXBench listing gives the specs details of the device having a 5.5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution instead of the 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution found in the Snapdragon variant. The device is powered by an unknown octa core 1.7GHz Exynos processor with ARM Mali-T830 GPU and 2GB of RAM instead of the 3GB RAM with Snapdragon 615 Soc. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box. it comes with 16GB inbuilt storage. It comes with a 12-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 was recently spotted on GFXBench with different specs like a 5.5-inch display but with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, old galaxy j7 was having 720p screen. It will be powered by a 1.5GHz octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (Cortex A53 – ARMv8) processor along with Qualcomm Adreno 405 GPU. It gets 3GB of RAM which is twice from the old Galaxy J7. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS out of the box. It will also have 16GB of inbuilt storage capacity.
It features a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The old Galaxy J7 was having a 3000 mAh battery but we can expect a comparatively bigger battery in the 2016 variant of the Galaxy J7. The MWC 2016 event of Samsung is near where we expect the launch of Galaxy J7 2016 smartphone along with flagships Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.
Samsung has recently announced officially that it is going to hold an event on February 21 in Barcelona before the MWC event where the company will launch the next flagships Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Let’s wait for the official Samsung event.
