Samsung is rumored to be working on a new tablet with name Samsung Galaxy Tab E 7.0 and was found on benchmark sites revealing the specs of the tablet. Now the tablet has got the FCC approval in the United States and we may now expect a MWC 2016 unveiling of the tablet on 21st February event of Samsung. The tablet comes with model number SM-T280 and will have a 7-inch display. It will be the third tablet in the Galaxy Tab E series. The Korean giant has already launched the 8-inch tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 in Taiwan.
The FCC documents for the Samsung Galaxy Tab E 7.0 (SM-T280) comes with some device tests as usual. There will be two model number for this tablet SM-T280/SM-T285. The tablet measures 186mm x 117mm x 180mm and comes with a non-removable battery. It comes with Bluetooth, WiFi, Wi-Fi Direct(Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz), Mobile Hotspot (Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz) etc. No other specifications of the device are listed in the FCC documents.
The GFXBench listing of this tablet has confirmed that it will be launched with a 7-inch display with 1280×800 pixel resolution and will be powered by a 1.3GHz Spreadtrum SC8830 processor with a Mali-400 MP2 GPU along with 1.5GB of RAM. This tablet will have 8GB inbuilt storage capacity with expandable storage slot and will feature 4G connectivity option. It will be available in Black color option. It will feature a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front facing camera.
Samsung is holding an event on 21st February just before the MWC event in Barcelona and is expected to launch the next generation of the Samsung Galaxy S flagships called the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The Galaxy S7 Edge has already been spotted on AnTuTu and Geekbench revealing the specs of the smartphone.
