SophiaSony’s MWC 2016 event is going to take place on February 22 at Sony booth, Hall 3, Fira Gran Via, Barcelona. The company is expected to launch new products in this event including new smartphones. There is no news if the company will launch the new flagships in Xperia Z series but we may expect another smartphones in this event. One of the expected devices includes the Sony Xperia C6 that was the hero in a number of past leaks. The Xperia C6 leaked images were recently posted by the reliable leakster @OnLeaks revealing the design of the phone.
Now an unknown Sony device has just got the FCC approval in the US that might be the unannounced Sony Xperia series smartphone Xperia C6, however, we are unable to confirm the same from the FCC listing as it doesn’t comes with any images of the smartphone. Some of the partial details of this device are available in the documents like it comes with a model name PM-0920-BV and it has a 2300 mAh battery. The battery size hints towards a mid-range device.
The FCC listing comes with some tests of the device for LTE, GSM WCDMA and Bluetooth tests. This new Sony device supports FDD-LTE 2600 (B7) / 1900 (B2) / 850 (B5) MHz, W-CDMA 1900 (II) / 850 (V) MHz, GSM 1900/850 MHz mobile networks and is also certified with Bluetooth and wireless LAN or NFC features. It comes with Bluetooth 4.1 and wireless LAN IEEE 802.11 a / b / g / n. The FCC listing shows that this phone will have 5 variants with model names PM-0920-BV, PM-0921-BV, PM-0922-BV, PM-0923-BV and PM-0924-BV.
The MWC is just a few weeks away from now and Xperia C6 is expected now to launch in this event with a price range between $250-$300. Let’s wait and see what other devices the company launches in this event.
