Vivo has finally launched two new smartphones in the Xplay series called the Vivo Xplay 5 and Vivo Xplay 5s in the official event in Beijing, China. The Vivo Xplay 5 is listed on official website with full details and specs. The Vivo Xplay 5s is also listed on offcial website but there are no specs and images listed on there. The official website also lists the previously rumored Xplay 5S confirming the existence of this device along with Xplay 5. The Xplay 5s will have another name Vivo Xplay 5 ultimate. The Vivo Xplay 5 design looks similar to the iPhone 6S and comes with border-less display confirming the rumors as well.
The rumored 6GB RAM variant will be called as Vivo XPlay 5S and the 4GB RAM variant will be called the Vivo Xplay 5. The Vivo Xplay 5 is priced at 3698 yuan (around $565) and the Vivo XPlay 5s is priced at 4288 yuan (around $655). There are no details available about the availability of both these devices. The Vivo XPlay 5 comes with 5.43-inch 2k Full HD display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. It is powered by the 1.8Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor along with 4GB of RAM. It comes with 128GB of internal storage capacity. It runs on Android 5.1 based Funtouch OS 2.5.1 out of the box and supports Dual SIM capabilities.
It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, 4k video recording, F2.0 aperture and LED flash with an 8-megapixel front facing camera having F2.4 aperture. It comes with a 3600mAh battery and connectivity options includes 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, WiFi dual-band WIFI: 2.4GHz / 5GHz, IEEE 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, GPS and OTG with FM Radio support too. It measures 153.5X76.2X7.59mm and weights 167.8grams.
The Vivo Xplay 5s comes with identical specifications with some hardware upgrades. It has same 5.43-inch 2k Full HD display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and is powered by the Snapdragon 820 processor and comes with 6GB of RAM with 128GB inbuilt storage capacity. Other specs are same like the Vivo Xplay 5 that includes Android 5.1 based Funtouch OS 2.5.1, Dual SIM, a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, 4k video recording, F2.0 aperture and LED flash with an 8-megapixel front facing camera having F2.4 aperture, 3600mAh battery, 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, WiFi dual-band WIFI: 2.4GHz / 5GHz, IEEE 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, GPS, OTG and FM Radio.
The Vivo Xplay 5 was previously leaked a number of times in leaked renders, video, retail package and was spotted on GFXbench and AnTuTu confirming the rumored specifications of the device.
