AmanA few days back, Samsung got the approval for two new 2016 variants of ‘Galaxy J’ series called Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 (SM-J7109, SM-J7108) and Galaxy J5 2016 (SM-J5108). We were expecting Samsung to launch these soon as these are approved by TENAA. Now China Telecom has launched the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 smartphone that comes with model number SM-J7109, whereas the second model number SM-J7108 is not released yet. Samsung China website doesn’t list the device as of now.
The Galaxy J7 2016 variant comes with features like a 5.5-inches FHD Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.5GHz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 (MSM8952) processor along with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB inbuilt storage capacity with 128GB expandable storage microSD card slot. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box and there is no information currently available if it will be updated to Marshmallow OS in future or not.

camera. The device is equipped with a 3300mAh battery which is 300 mAh more from the first generation Galaxy J7 that was launched with 3000 mAh battery. The device comes with dual SIM support and connectivity options includes 4G LTE Category 6, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi IEEE 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz) and NFC Type A/B.
The Galaxy J7 2016 variant was spotted on TENAA with specs like 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1920 × 1080 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core processor and has 3GB of RAM with 16GB inbuilt storage capacity and 128GB expandable storage. it runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS pout of the box. It features an 8-megapixel or 13-megapixel rear camera with a 5-megapixel front facing camera. it measures 151.7 × 75.9 × 7.6 mm and weights 165 grams. It was listed in Gold and white colors.
