LG announces LG K8 and LG K5 mid-range devices

LG has announced two more new devices in the LG K series dubbed LG K8 and LG K5 that will join the existing LG K series of smartphones that already includes LG K4, LG K7, and LG K10. Both the new K series smartphones will be available starting this week in the key markets. The LG K5 smartphone will be available in Europe, CIS and Latin America and will be launched as the LG Q6 in Mexico too. The LG K8 will be available in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, CIS and Latin American markets this week. The pricing details of both the devices is not announced yet by the company.

The LG K8 comes with a 5-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. It comes with 1.5GB RAM in EU and 1GB of RAM in the Latin American region.It supports expandable storage via microSD card while the inbuilt storage capacity is not mentioned by LG. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

It features an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. There is a 2125mAh removable battery available in this handset. It comes with connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi Fi 802.11 b/ g/ n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and Micro-USB. It measures 146×71.5×8.7 mm and will be available in Gold, Indigo and White colour options.

The LG K5 has a 5-inch FWVGA display with 480×854 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. 8GB of built-in storage is available with expandable storage support via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box. It features a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. It comes with 1900mAh removable battery and will be available in Gold, Silver, and Titan colour options. It has Wi-Fi 802.11 b, g, n, Bluetooth 4.1 and Micro-USB with no 4G connectivity. It measures 145×71.6×8.9 mm.
