Apple has finally launched the rumored 4-inch iPhone called as the iPhone SE in its official event yesterday. The iPhone SE looks identical to the iPhone 5S with more rounded edges on the top and bottom panels just like the iPhone 6 and it comes with 4 color options Silver, Gold, Space Gray and Rose Gold. The iPhone SE is priced at $399 for the 16 GB variant and the 64GB variant is priced at $499. It will be available for sale starting March 31 and will be available in 100 countries by May.
iPhone SE comes with 4.0-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD display with 640 x 1136 pixels resolution. It is powered by the dual-core 1.84GHz 64-bit Apple A9 processor with embedded M9 motion coprocessor and six core PowerVR GT7600 GPU. It comes with 16 GB and 64 GB internal storage variants and RAM size is not mentioned by the company. It runs on the latest iOS 9.3 OS and this latest iOs will start rolling out to all Apple devices starting today.
It features a 12-megapixel iSight camera with phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, 1.22µ pixels, geo-tagging, 1/3″ sensor size, simultaneous 4K video and 8MP image recording, touch focus, face/smile detection and HDR (photo/panorama). A front facing 1.2‑megapixel front facing camera comes with face detection, HDR and Retina Flash. it comes with the fingerprint sensor built into the home button just like the other iPhones.
iPhone SE comes with a non-removable Li-Po 1642 mAh battery up to 240 hrs of standby time and up to 14 hrs of talk time on 3G network. Coinnectivity options includes LTE connectivity, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi‑Fi, Wi-Fi calling, NFC, VoLTE and Bluetooth 4.2. It measures 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm and weights 113 grams.
UK Price: The iPhone SE will be available in the UK for £359 for the 16GB variant and the 64Gb variant will be available for £439. The release date is not available currently.
