After the leak of the official brochures, Meizu has finally launched the flagship device in the Pro series called the Meizu Pro 6 which is the successor to the Meizu Pro 5 launched last year. The device is powered by the Deca-core Helio X25 processor and also features the 3D press display.
It is priced at 2499 yuan (around $386) for the 32GB variant and 2799 yuan (around $432) for the 64GB variant. The interested users can pre-order the device from official website and it will go on sale from April 23rd in the home country. There is no details when it will be available out side China.
Meizu Pro 6 comes with a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and features like 3D Press, 2.5D glass Gorilla Glass 3, 100% NTSC color gamut. It is powered by the deca-core MediaTek Helio X25 processor that comes with Cortex 1.4GHz x4 + Cortex A53 2.0GHz x4 + the Cortex A72 2.5GHz X2 along with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB inbuilt storage options. It supports Dual SIM and runs on the Flyme OS 5.1 that is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
It features a 21.6-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone Ring LED Flash, Laser Auto focus, PDAF, 6P lenses, f/2.2 aperture and 4K video recording and also comes with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It is backed up by the 2560mAh battery with fast charging feature.
Connectivity options includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 ac/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB 3.1 Type-C. It measures 147.7 x 70.8 x 7.25mm and weights just 160 grams. It comes with Gold, Silver and Gray color options. A fingerprint sensor is also available on the home button that can unlock the device in just 0.2 seconds.
The previous rumors for the Meizu Pro 6 includes the Samsung Exynos 7420 octa-core processor (quad-core 2.1GHz Cortex-A57 + quad-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A53) that comes with Mali T760 MP8 GPU. It will have a full-HD display having the 1080×1920 pixels resolution and is expected to have Hi-Fi 3.0 and fast charging technology features. The Pro 6 will run on the Android 6 Marshmallow based Flyme OS 6.0 out-of-the-box. It is also rumored to have two variants: one with 6GB of RAM + 128GB storage and the second will have 4GB of RAM + 64GB of inbuilt storage.
