AmanLast year, we witnessed the launch of the new Nexus devices from Google called Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X. Google may be working on the new Nexus devices which can be launched in the Google’s I/O event next month and both will be manufactured by HTC, according to the rumors. A new Google Nexus 6P variant has just been popped up at GeekBench with upgraded features including the upgraded hardware and the software.
This new variant is listed on GeekBench with the same old name Google Nexus 6P with the new Snapdragon chipset 1.59 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820. But the 2015 variant of Nexus 6P was launched with Snapdragon 810, so it is confirmed that it will be the new variant of the Nexus 6P. There no information available about the upcoming Nexus 5X smartphone 2016 variant which is also expected to launch with the 2016 variant of the Nexus 6P.
This new variant comes with 4GB of RAM up from 3GB RAM of the old Nexus 6P. This new Nexus device runs on the upcoming Android N and we already know that the search engine giant has already released the two developer previews of Android N already for the Nexus devices. This new variant has scored 2115 points in single-core test and 4903 points in multi-core test.
To recall, the last year’s Nexus 6P was released with a 5.7-inches WQHD (2560 x 1440) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, Fingerprint and smudge-resistant oleophobic coating, a 2.0 GHz Octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon™ 810 v2.1 and Adreno 430 GPU, 3 GB LPDDR4 RAM, 32 GB / 64 GB / 128 GB storage variants.
Other feature includes a 12.3 MP rear IR Laser assisted autofocus, 4K (30 fps) video capture and Broad-spectrum CRI-90 dual flash camera, an 8MP front camera, a 3,450 mAh battery with Fast charging feature, connectivity options such as Single USB Type-C, Single Nano SIM slot, LTE cat. 6, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS, GLONASS and Digital compass.
