Huawei has launched the new Honor series device Huawei Honor V8 today in an official event. The device was leaked yesterday in two new images before today’s unveiling and has already got the TENAA approval last month.
The device has the Dual camera on the rear side and also comes with a fingerprint scanner on the rear side. The Huawei Honor V8 is priced at 2,299 yuan (around $353) for the 4GB of RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage, 2499 Yuan (around $384) for 4GB of RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage variant and 2,799 (around $430) for the 4GB of RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage variant. The device is up for pre-orders in China via Vmall. The device comes with the model number KNT-AL10.
Huawei Honor V8 comes with a 5.7-inch TFT LCD FHD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and the 64GB storage variant supports Quad HD 1440×2560 pixels resolution, 16.7 million colors, color saturation (NTSC): 94.5% and 386 PPI density. It is powered by the octa-core Kirin 950 processor (4 x Cortex A72 2.3GHz + 4 x Cortex A53 1.8GHz + Micro-core I5) with Mali T880 GPU.
It comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB inbuilt storage variants with up to 128GB MicroSD card expandable storage. It runs on the Huawei EMUI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.
It supports Dual SIM and features a 12-megapixel rear dual camera with 2,6P lens, LED flash, 1080p full HD video recording, Digital zoom up to 4x, auto focus and F2.2 aperture. It also comes with an 8-megapixel front camera with F2.4 aperture and fixed focus. It is backed up by a 3500mAh Li-Polymer battery that can deliver 25.5 hours of talk time on 2G network and standby time of 466.7 hours on 4G network.
It comes with a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm standard headphone jack. It measures 157.00 x 77.60 x 7.75 (mm) and weights about 170 grams. Color options includes Champagne Gold, Glacier Silver, Rose Gold and Platinum gold light.
