Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus is now getting the Marshmallow update in Germany

Samsung started rolling the Marshmallow update to number of flagship devices that includes the Galaxy S6 series, Note 5, Note 4, Galaxy S5 and other devices as well. The Galaxy S5 was the luckiest one to get the Marshmallow update and is getting the update on different model numbers in different regions and still some variants are awaiting the update. The Korean giant has now started rolling the update to the Galaxy S5 Plus devices in Germany that comes with model number SM-G901F.

The Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F) got the update few weeks back in India and the Korean model with the Trinidad and Tobago variants also got the update in the past. This update not only brings the Marshmallow goodies to the Galaxy S5 Plus but also comes with new features and UI. The update brings features like Google Now on Tap, Doze mode, new design, battery improvements and permission support for apps. The update comes with the build version G901FXXU1CPE1.

If you are using the Galaxy S5 Plus model number SM-G901F and you are currently in Germany, then you will get this update OTA or you can update your device by checking for Android updates manually by going to Settings > About device > Software update > Check now option.

To recall, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus was launched in the year 2014 with features like a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 805 processor and Adreno 420 GPU than the Snapdragon 801 soc used in the Galaxy S5. It supports LTE Cat. 6, 5.1-inch 1080p display, a 16-megapixel rear camera, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 2800mAh battery and IP67 rating.
