Alcatel Flash Plus 2 launched MediaTek Helio P10, 3GB RAM and fingerprint sensor

Alcatel has launched the successor to the last year’s Alcatel Flash Plus smartphone with the name Alcatel Flash Plus 2 today. The device is priced at $160 for the 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage variant and $190 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage variant. It will be available in Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand in the first phase. It will be available in Luna Silver and Venus Gold color options.

The Alcatel Flash Plus 2 comes with a 5.5-inch OGS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, 1000:1 contast ratio and 160-degree viewing angle. It is powered by the octa-core (4 x 2.0 GHz + 4 x 1.0 GHz) MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) processor with 700MHz Mali T860MP2 GPU and has two variants: 3GB LPDDR3 RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage  and 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage with both having expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

It runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box and supports Dual SIM. It features a 13-megapixel with OV13853 sensor,  dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and 76.5-degree wide-angle 5P lens. A 5-megapixel camera with flash is available on front with features like 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.2 aperture and 84-degree wide-angle lens. It is backed up by a 3000mAh battery with flash charging feature and connectivity options includes 4G LTE, WiFi 820.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It measures 152.6×76.4×8.2mm and weights 157grams. A fingerprint scanner is also available on the physical home button.

The Alcatel Flash Plus 2 got the listing at GFXBench, where it was listed with slightly different configuration like a 4.6-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and is powered by an 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6755BM (Cortex A53 – ARMv8) processor with ARM Mali-T860 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage capacity and runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box. It features the same 13-megapixel rear auto focus flash camera and the 8-megapixel front facing camera. It comes with other features like Single SIM, WiFi, Bluetooth, Compass, Ligh sensor and proximity sensor.
