HTC has finally started sending the invites for its May 26 event in India where the company is going to launch its much awaited flagship device HTC 10. The teaser comes with a painted elephant and the “save the date !” text with the event date.
There are still some rumors about which processor variant of HTC 10 will be launched in India. HTC recently confirmed that it will launch the Snapdragon 820 variant in India and not the Snapdragon 652 variant. The company listed the HTC 10 Lifestyle with Snapdragon 652 after its official launch and then changed it to the Snapdragon 820 variant. We may see both the variants launching in India in the May 26 event.
The HTC 10 comes with a 5.2-inch quad HD Super LCD 5 display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass and 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution and is powered by the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and comes with 32/64GB internal storage options and expandable storage up to 2TB with microSD card. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense 8.0 UI.
It features a 12-megapixel Ultrapixel 2 camera with dual-tone LED flash, 1.55um pixels, f/1.8 aperture, Laser AF, OIS and 4K video recording features. It also houses a 5-megapixel autofocus front-facing camera with 1.34um pixels, f/1.8 aperture, OIS, 23mm focal length and 86-degree wide angle. It is backed up by a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 feature that can charge the battery up to 50% in just 30 minutes and offers up to 2 days of battery life with normal use.
Connectivity options available are 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n (2.4 and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS with GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C. The HTC 10 also comes with HTC BoomSound, Dolby Audio and three noise cancellation microphones. It measures 145.9 x 71.9 x 3.0 – 9.0mm and weights 161 grams. The flagship device from HTC comes with full metal body and the fingerprint scanner available on the home button can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds.
