After launching a number of devices in the LG K series, LG has geared up for a new series of devices. The company has registered a new trademark “X5” with the Korean intellectual property rights authority (KIPRIS) leaving behind the questions about a new LG smartphone. LG has already launched the LG G5 flagship globally after unveiling it at MWC this February. The company may be looking to launch the cheaper LG G5 with downgraded specifications.
The trademark was registered on 16 of May, means a week ago and the trademark registration page also comes with the logo of the trademark with a bigger “X” letter followed by a smaller “5”. A new smartphone may be unveiled soon by the company but for now we don’t have any rumors about this unannounced device at the moment. So we have to wait for some leaks and rumors about this device or at least the GFXBench and TENAA listing for full details.
