Sony has launched the Xperia E5 smartphone today after the company accidentally revealed it in images few days back on their social media accounts. Xperia E5 is a mid-range device that comes in Graphite Black and White color options and is priced at 199 Euros (around $221) and will be available in Europe, Latin America, Middle East and Africa from late June 2016. Sony Xperia E5 comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by the 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor with Mali-T720 GPU and 1.5GB of RAM. It has 16GB internal storage capacity that is further expandable up to 200GB with microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box and supports Dual SIM.
It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 1080p video recording and it also comes with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. A 2700mAh battery is available to power it and connectivity options it has are 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS NFC and a 3.5 mm audio jack with FM Radio support as well.
It measures 144 x 69 x 8.2 mm and weights 147 grams. The global availability details of the smartphone were not announced by the company.
