Motorola recently launched its new flagship devices in the Moto Z series including the Moto Z and Moto Z Force leaving behind the predictions about the closure of the Moto X series. But, the Lenovo owned company refused any such predictions and said that the Moto X series is not dead and the company will launch new devices in this series. Now, a new device with name Motorola XT1662 is spotted at GFXBench with a MediaTek processor and it might be the Moto X 2016 variant that may be ready to launch this year as well.

It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box and might support the Dual SIM option.
The Motorola XT1662 comes with 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of inbuilt storage capacity and will also have a expandable MicroSD card slot as well. It features a 16-megapixel rear LED flash camera and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. Other features includes WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB and other options also. No further details about this device were available on the GFXBench listing of the device, so, we have to wait for its TENAA listing for more details about its specifications and its images.
