Mckay JonsonWe had reported earlier about a device thought to be the Huawei Honor V8 Max which was spotted on TENAA. Huawei has come all out via a GIF image teaser to reveal that the device will actually be called Honor Note 8.
The device was thought to be named V8 Max and Huawei kept mute all these while, until now that it has come out to reveal through the GIF teaser on its official website that it would be called Honor Note 8, hinting that the Honor Note 8 will open up a new era for large screen device.
Apart from the name, the poster also touts the new Honor Note 8 to feature a 2k display resolution. This is in line with the specifications listed on TENAA for the device. The TENAA listing showed the Honor Note 8 will come with a 6.6-inch 2K display and of late, another TENAA listing revealed that there are two versions available. While one of the versions feature a Kirin 950 chipset, 3GB RAM and 32GB of built-in storage, the second and higher version features a Kirin 955 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. There may likely be a 128GB internal storage version as well.
The phablet, which will come in silver and gold and other colors, also features a USB Type-C interface, 4,400mAh battery with fast charging support, a 13MP main camera (IMX278) at the back and an 8MP front facing selfie camera.
The Honor Note 8 is expected to carry a price tag starting at 1999 yuan ($300) for the 3GB model, while the 4GB RAM version should retail around 2299 yuan ($344).
