Mckay JonsonApple is yet to release the iPhone 7, yet we have started getting news about the 2017 Apple flagship which is said to be named iPhone 8 instead of iPhone 7s. The iPhone 8 is also said to feature OLED displays to be supplied by Samsung, thus ditching the LCD display iPhones are known for.
Of late, a concept picture of the iPhone 8 credited to be designed by designer Tobias Buettner, showing us what the OLED might look like on the 2017 flagship phone have emerged online. The iPhone 8 design concept features an iPhone 8 which looks enitrely different from the present iPhones around and looks no similar to the expected iPhone 7.
The concept iPhone 8 features a Home button integrated within the display, which is an innovation on the iPhone. The device looks a lot like the Nokia N9, with the slim body having sharp, non-chamfered edges. There’s also a glass cover on the back of the concept phone, similar to that of the iPhone 4. The entire body of the concept iPhone 8 seem to of glass entirely, save for the top and bottom edges which are made of metal. The glass goes all the way over the edges,on the sides where it fuses with the display screen upfront.
The concept phone sports dual cameras at the rear with rather small sensors which is strange as well. Also, there are capacitive buttons at the sides with a small waistline that might pose difficulty accessing.
Apple will be marking the 1oth year anniversary of the iPhone next year and talk around the tech circle in that we might see a different looking iPhone flagship next year. Already, the naming convention has been altered such that instead of 7s as the next, we are having the iPhone 8. The new design iPhone 8 will sport may not necessarily look like this one because as beautiful as this concept is, it is a no no from our end.
