Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) this month in India and today the company announced the upgraded variant of the device called the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro that comes with upgraded features and Smart glow feature as well. It comes with similar pricing tag of Rs. 9,890 (around $146) just like the Galaxy J2 2016 who was priced at Rs. 9,750 (around $145). It comes with Black, Silver and gold color options and retains the Smart Glow feature.
Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro comes with a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by the 1.5 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC8830 processor with Mali-400MP2 GPU. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage capacity with expandable storage up to 32GB with microSD card. It runs on the same Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS and supports Dual SIM as well.
It features an 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. It is backed up by a 2600mAh battery and comes with connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. It measures 142.4 X 71.1 X 8.0 mm. Unlike Amazon India, the interested users can buy the Galaxy J2 Pro from Snapdeal.
