The Chinese LeEco and Coolpad have launched a new smartphone dubbed Cool1 that comes with dual-rear cameras and advanced features with 4GB RAM and Snapdragon 652 SoC. The Cool1 is now up for pre-orders in China at Lemall and is priced at 1099 yuan (around $166) for 3GB RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage variant, 1499 yuan (around $226) for 4GB RAM + 32GB storage option and 1699 yuan (around $256) for the high end 4GB RAM with 64GB inbuilt storage option. The device will be available for sale starting August 24th in the home country.
The Cool1 smartphone comes with Gold, Silver and Rose Gold color options and has metal unibody design. It features a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor (Quad 1.8GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.2GHz A53 CPUs) with Adreno 510 GPU. It comes with multiple options with 3GB / 4GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB / 64GB (eMMC5.1) internal storage options.
The Cool1 runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with EUI 5.6 on top and supports dual-SIMs. It comes with dual 13-megapixel rear cameras with f/2.0 aperture, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) and dual-tone LED flash, depth sensing and with realistic bokeh features as well. There is an 8-megapixel camera on front with f/2.2 aperture, 80-degree wide-angle lens. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor on rear side that can unlock the phone in just 0.15 seconds.
A 4,060mAh battery with fast charging backups the device. It measures 152 × 74.8 × 8.2mm and weights 167g. Connectivity options available are 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB Type C. The global availability and pricing details were not shared by the company in the official event.
