The Sony’s Xperia X variant Sony Xperia X Compact, that was launched this September, is now available for sale in the UK. A number of online e-retailers are offering the device for sale including Mobiles UK, O2, EE, giffgaff and Carphone Warehouse. Carphone Warehouse is offering the device Sim-free priced at £359.99 and at Giffgaff SIM-free variant of X Compact will cost you £379, while the others are offering it with contracts and you can choose from different Color options that includes Black, Blue and White.
The Sony Xperia X Compact was announced along with Xperia XZ at the start of the September. The Sony Xperia X Compact comes with a smaller 4.6-inch HD Triluminos 1280 x 720 pixels resolution Display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It gets powered by a 64-bit hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor along with Adreno 510 GPU. There is 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage available and the internal storage is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS comes pre-installed out of the box and single SIM is supported. There is a 23-megapixel rear camera available with features such as Exmos RS sensor, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 lens, Predictive Hybrid AF, 5-axis stabilizatio, 1080p video recording and you will also get a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with features such as 1/3.06″ Exmor RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens and 1080p video recording.
A 2700 mAh battery with Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology powers it and you will get 4G LTE, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C connectivity, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz / 5GHz) and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity options. It measures 129 x 65 x 9.5 mm and weights 135 grams and comes with a fingerprint sensor that is available on the power button but this phone doesn’t comes with IP65/IP68 certification like the Xperia X.
