Xiaomi Mi MIX announced with bezel-less display, 6GB RAM and Snapdragon 821

Xiaomi, not only announced the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 but also launched an even bigger Xiaomi Mi MIX smartphone with high-end specifications. The Xiaomi Mi Mix comes with a bezel-less design and a borderless display and Xiaomi calls it a concept phone. Philippe Starck has designed both the Mi Note 2 and Mi Mix devices. It comes with very thin bezels on the top and sides making it look completely borderless.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix is priced at 3499 yuan (around $516) for the 4GB RAM + 128GB internal storage option and a Mi MIX special edition with 6GB RAM and 256GB inbuilt storage is priced at 3999 yuan (around $590). The special edition of Mi Mix comes with 18k carat gold finish around rear camera and fingerprint sensor. The Mi Mix is available for pre-order in China starting today and will be available for sale starting November 4th in China. No new available about its global release.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix comes with a ceramic body and has 91.3% screen-to-body ratio. The device comes with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera available below the screen and is 50% smaller than a standard camera sensor. The device uses ultrasonic technology instead of a proximity sensor and also features Cantilever piezoelectric ceramic driver for earpiece.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix comes with a 6.4-inch display with 2040 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by a 2.35GHz 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It has 4GB of DDR4 RAM + 128GB internal (UFS 2.0) storage and 6GB of DDR4 RAM + 256GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage capacity. It runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS based MIUI 8 and also supports Dual SIMs.

It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, 4K video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. A 4400mAh battery back up this device and we have connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE , WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4/5 GHz) MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack and a 192Hz / 24-bit DAC chip. It measures 158.8 x 81.9 mm x 7.9 mm and weights 209 grams. A fingerprint sensor is available on the rear side. It comes with Black color option only.
