Meizu, in an official event today, launched two new device including the flagship Meizu PRO 6 Plus and the Meizu M3X smartphones. The Meizu PRO 6 Plus is priced at 2999 yuan (around $435) for the 64GB inbuilt storage variant + 2GHz Exynos 8890 processor and costs 3299 yuan (around $479) for the 128GB inbuilt storage variant with 2.3GHz Exynos 8890 processor. The Pro 6 Plus is available for pre-orders in China from today and sales will start December 23rd. Color options includes Champagne Gold, Sky Grey and Moonlight Silver colors.
The Meizu PRO 6 Plus comes with a metal unibody design and features a mTouch 2.1 fingerprint sensor available on the home button that helps unlock the phone in just 0.15 seconds. The device also comes with a heart rate sensor. It comes with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution, 3D Press, Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, 103% NTSC color gamut, 600 nits brightness and 10000:1 contrast ratio.
It is powered by 2.3 / 2GHz octa-core Exynos 8890 processor with Mali-T880 MP10 GPU and features 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM along with 64GB / 128GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage options. It runs on the Flyme OS that is based on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box. It also supports Dual SIM and comes with a 3400mAh battery that supports fast charging feature out of the box.
It features a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone 10-LED Ring Flash, Laser Auto focus, 4-axis OIS, PDAF, 6P lenses, f/2.0 aperture, 1.25μm size, 4K video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. Connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE , WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB 3.1 Type-C, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack and best audio support with ESS ES9018K2M audi chip and ADI AD45275 amplifier. It measures 155.6×77.3mmx 7.3mm and weights 158g.
