JulieIn an event at New Delhi, HTC today launched three new smartphones HTC Desire 820, Desire 820q and Desire 816G. HTC hasn’t provided any pricing details for Desire 820 and HTC Desire 820Q but have said that both these will be available from first week of November.
However, HTC has also announced successor of Desire 816 called Desire 816G for Rs. 18,990 which will be available from first week of October.
HTC Desire 820 was announced globally in IFA 2014 Event. It comes with 5.5-inch HD display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor (1.5GHz quad-core + 1.0GHz quad-core).
HTC Desire 820 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Dual SIM support with HTC Sense UI on top. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage with up to 128GB expandable storage.
HTC Desire 820 comes with a 13 MP rear LED flash camera with BSI sensor and 8 MP front selfie shooter. It has a 2600mAh battery with up to 22.4 hours of talk time and 424 hours of standby time on 3G network. It weighs 155 grams and supports HTC’s Dot View case.
HTC Desire 820 has integrated 4G LTE Cat. 4 connectivity with Wi-Fi, FM radio, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, GPS, A-GPS, 3G and 4G LTE options.
HTC Desire 820q comes with similar specifications like HTC Desire 820 with only difference of quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and 1 GB RAM. The Desire 816G has also similar specifications like Desire 816 instead of 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor which is slower comparing with 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 CPU of Desire 816.
